Liszt – Music for piano solo
Barren shadows, brooding loneliness, Venetian mourning gondola, mossy and eternal past. Then expansive, pathos, depth and authenticity, grandeur and extreme restraint, compassion and closeness to death.
The depth of Franz Liszt particularly touches me, and I think that this aspect of the composer deserves special attention.
The 5 programmes form a multi-part unit. They all have a different basic mood and illuminate some facets of Liszt’s Liszt’s incredibly diverse oeuvre.
I would like them to be experienced as emotional journeys. Listening and being moved into the immaterial world of sounds, transcend with Liszt’s music….
